Cleaning and Care
Care for our Funny Olefin Indoor and Outdoor Doormats is extremely simple. All you have to do is
vacuum the mats as needed or hose it off, scrub it lightly with a brush and then dry the mat flat. Doing
either of the two cleaning methods regularly will help keep your funny doormat looking fresh and new
for a long time.
Seasonal & Holiday Doormats & At Home & Welcome Mats
Care for our MatMate Inserts is simple, vacuum them regularly or hose off the mat when it becomes
soiled and if needed scrub lightly with a soft bristle brush with mild soap. If your MatMate is spilled on,
it is recommended that you blot the spill up with a dry cloth to prevent any lasting damage to the image.
College Logo Doormats and Rugs & Professional Sports Mats & Military Welcome Mats
There are a few things to know about your Nylon sports mat. First is that the nylon fibers are fairly stain
and fade resistant but to make certain that you mat does not get unnecessary stains we recommend
that upon receipt your mat should be treated with a stain-resistant product such as Dupont Stainmaster.
We especially recommend this if you are using you mat in a high traffic area. If maintained properly a
nylon mat never wears out in the conventional sense.
So what do I do if my mat does get stain or dirty? For these types of mats it is pretty simple to clean
them up. For loose debris and dirt of normal use try vacuuming your mat or shaking it out. If you
mat is more heavily soiled we suggest machine washing your mat, yes we said machine washing. Our
sports and military mats can go in your wash machine, but it is HIGHLY recommended that you DO NOT
machine wash the larger Tailgater, Ulti Mats or the larger Area Rugs as they can damage your wash
machine, instead an industrial wash machine is recommended for these larger mats, our you can use a
carpet cleaning machine in most cases.
The regular cleaning of your mat will help prevent you nylon mat from getting “uglied out†or looking
tattered.
Jute, Weave & Shag Rugs & Mats
For these mats the care instructions will vary from mat to mat, so it is suggested that you note the
care instructions for your particular product.
For general care instructions: First it is recommended that professional cleaners be used as the rugs
become very heavy when wet. For spills blot up quickly with a soft dry cloth. If there is any loose dirt
and debris it is recommended that you shake the area rug out only, avoid vacuums with these types of
rugs. Following these instructions, and those listed on the product pages, will keep your Cotton Cottage
Stripe Area Rug in exemplary condition.
To clean your boot tray, simply dump out any water, spray off or wipe down the interior at the sink or
with a hose and the dry the interior. This will keep you boot tray looking good all year long.
